We’ll bring together world-class thinkers to ask: how can we live better? How can we eat better, sleep better, feel better…? How can we live more sustainably? And in better communities?

Redesigned to keep you safe
Redesigned to keep you safe
This year, we are taking Life Lessons outdoors to the beautiful Chiswick Gardens! Our visitors will have individual pods infront of the main stage, at a safe distance from others.
We are moving the beautiful and historic Chiswick House & Gardens. Chiswick House is one of the most glorious examples of 18th century British architecture. Its gardens are the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement.
I had a wonderful time at Life Lessons – even better than I expected, and I was expecting a lot. All the visitors I spoke to told me they'd had a fantastic day.
This festival takes people from all across society with interesting ideas; it’s a wonderful petri dish where people will meet, the ideas will cross-fertilise and produce new, better ideas.

It’s important that we have a domain like this where people can sit and try to create a new vision and a new narrative. I hope that people leave with a real sense of that.
Life Lessons has changed the way I’m going to do my events. I’ve been to so many talks here and they’re fantastic. I’m so grateful. I’d love to do more work with you
Just wanted to say thank you and express my gratitude for putting together such a lovely weekend. Both Venetia and I thought it was one of the best and well organised events we’ve been to in a long time.

Life lessons to me is connection – human connection – where people can listen and work out what’s best for them. I had a brilliant time. It’s the favourite event I’ve done! Thanks so much for the fun!
Life Lessons is a fantastic event. It’s an interesting festival that so many people of different walks of life can get things out of.
Life Lessons is really special. Today has been incredible…so many pearls of wisdom. The opportunity to speak to people who are interested in different things, or talk to a talk on something completely different: that’s what helps you to grow.
Life Lessons is a great idea. It feels like there’s not enough of it. I would like to think that this is the start of a sea-change I guess. In that it’s something going forward that people realise needs to be part of our everyday thinking.
Life Lessons is doing a very important thing in making information and wisdom accessible. It’s wonderful!

I very much enjoyed my discussion with the Reverend Richard Coles. The Life Lessons format triumphantly demonstrates that a one-on-one discussion doesn’t have to be adversarial to be entertaining. On the contrary, a mutually respectful conversation, even between participants who might be expected to disagree, can be interesting for both them and the audience.
